This remix video was created by the British scratch video group Gorilla Tapes in 1984. The full 20 minute video is called "Death Valley Days" and re-frames the relationship between conservative politicians Ronald Reagan and Margaret Thatcher. It was originally made in four sections - "Santa Fe Trail", "Secret Love", "The Commander-in-Chief" and "Crimewatch U.K." The piece "Till Death to Apartheid" was added to the compilation in 1985. In the early to mid 80s, scratch videos would be seen in nightclub performances, at independent cinemas and through DIY distribution on VHS tapes. Some scratch video artists called their work "anti-art".
