This Friday, March 9, 2012, Paco Park Presents celebrates International Women's Day with a night of fine music, featuring soprano Asenath Abad Cadavos, baritone Elijah John Marquez, pianists Heliodoro Fiel and Sara Morris, violinists Rachel Uhler, Stephen John Cruz, Ruth Potter and Liz David, violist Regine Nuñez and cellist Bethany Uhler. Ms. Thea Perez is program host. The public is cordially invited.

Paco Park Presents is a regular public service project of the Department of Tourism, under Sec. Ramon Jimenez, Jr., the National Parks Development Committee (NPDC), under Executive Director Juliet H. Villegas, and the People's Television Four. NPDC Chief of the Cultural & Public Affairs Mr. Freddie A. Edos is the Executive In Charge of the project. Gie V. Arnold writes the script.

In many countries, including the Philippines, International Women's Day is an occasion to honor and praise women for their accomplishments and importance to society. The UN theme for International Women's Day this year is "Empower Women -- End Hunger and Poverty".

In Paco Park Presents this Friday, soprano Asenath Abad Cadavos, a voice student of soprano Thea Perez, leads in the celebration of International Women's Day, with a program titled " Let My Song Fill Your Heart". With her friends, soprano Asenath Cadavos sings from the heart, sons such as REJOICE GREATLY, O DAUGHTER OF ZION (Handel); NACH UND TRAUME (Schubert); TARANTELLE (Bizet); MONKS & RAISINS (Barber); RUHE SANFT, MEIN HOLDES LEBEN and UNA DONNA A QUINDICI ANNI (Mozart); PAKIUSAP (Santiago); ANG MAYA (Estela); and THE TELEPHONE (Menotti).
