BLUFF....MEAT LOADER: At Bluff Port a number of revolutionary meat loaders hav been built. They can load meat in all weathers from the wharf sheds directly into the ships' holds.
WEST COAST....NO ROAD TO THE LIGHTHOUSE: Once a year members of the Marine and Works Departments service an unmanned lighthouse at Kahurangi Point. Driving down 18 miles of West Coast beach they have to ford rivers and blast away fallen rocks to get around bluffs.
