Example of cruising rigged J30 sailboat starting a spinnaker race in the annual Gulf Coast Sailing Club Regatta. Wind ~20-25, Vee Jay hunkered down with heavy reef in beat up light main and about half of roller furling jib rolled in. But nevertheless sparring with Banjo -- a J95 in full war gear, carbon tech, and state of the art sails than make a lot of noise when forced to luff. Wind proved a bit to much later in the race for the olde main ... now scheduled to be used for a bunch of nice tote bags for the crew.
