Interesting US documentary from 1993 I rediscovered on a dusty old VHS tape the other day. It chronicles the unique role of the stand up comic as critic/commentator/lampooner of social and political events ranging from the early 1960s to the early 1990s. Featuring material from George Carlin, Richard Pryor, Jackie Mason, Lenny Bruce, Mort Sahl and Bill Hicks amongst others.
I've amplified and cleaned up the audio a little but there is a small amount of tape noise left. I've also had to significantly reduce the playback quality of the video file in order to convince YouTube to even consider uploading it in a 'reasonable' time frame (5 and a half hours, no less). I hope this doesn't affect your viewing/learning pleasure.. too much.
