Cal's Max Homa begins his back nine during second round action of the 2012 NCAA Championship with his tee shot on the 10th hole at the Riviera Country Club on May 30, 2012. Homa has led a Golden Bears' surge into a tie for eighth place with all five Cal players now through turn. Homa would go on to birdie the 10th hole to move to four-under through his first 10 holes of the day, vaulting him up the player leader board 74 spots into a tie for 24th overall. Homa had a three-under par 32 on the front, including three birdies and an up-and-down out of the bunker on nine to save par and make him bogey-free at the turn.
