I went to see a gig in Nelson - Funk Republic. Very cool.

Stick News: Japanese police finally take action - thanks to a YouTube video

UPDATE: Since making this video, the news has changed.
Police arrested the guy and he gave up his ridiculous story (lent his car, phone broke and lost all contact ... yeah, right!) and he admitted it was him.

I think this is a really interesting story about how the internet is changing the way media works and the different responses to that.
People commenting on YouTube like this: isn't this great that we have this media so you can share your story and tell people about this crazy driver, when police didn't help.
On the other hand, TV scripts sounding like this: naughty person uploads video showing number plate to nasty YouTube site ... complete with the same BGM as they use with the stories about North Korea ...

The video the guy uploaded was here:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=p0mnb4FeceM
But has now been deleted.

UPDATE: Here it is:

Unfortunately, I couldn't find anything in English about this story - only Japanese.

Thanks to asumazilla and wowJhil for pointing out the sound problem!
There was a stray bit of audio floating around in there.
Hopefully it's OK this time.

The shoes are called Crocs. They're very ugly,
but everyone swears they're very comfortable.

Patjeanr
Crocs are wonderful for feet.
