In case you missed the September Army of Women Research Results Webinar, the video broadcast is now available!
We are excited to provide an opportunity to our Army of Women members to virtually meet Dr. Harry Ostrer and his team, who conducted the "Jewish Women's Breast and Ovarian Cancer Genetic Study". The Army of Women played a vital role in the success of the study; more than 4,600 Army of Women members signed up to participate! The focus of the study was to study DNA from Ashkenazi Jewish women for two reasons: to try to identify new genes that might reduce breast and ovarian cancer risk in women who have a BRCA1 or BRCA2 mutation; and to try to identify new genes, other than BRCA1 and BRCA2, that increase breast and ovarian cancer risk in Ashkenazi Jewish women.
This is your opportunity to meet the researchers and get an update about the study. In the webinar, Dr. Ostrer discusses the study and its results as well as answers your questions.
