12 culturally diverse teams came together at the 2012 Youth Unity Cup in Kensington on the weekend. The MUJU peace team, made up of Jewish and Muslim footballers, took out the competition, while other Jewish football guns played in the Mount Scopus squad. The two sides took on teams from Muslim, Indigenous, South-East Asian and African backgrounds in the event organised by the Australian Federal Police, in conjunction with AFL sides Hawthorn, Western Bulldogs, North Melbourne and Essendon. MUJU went the entire tournament undefeated, and put in a dominant display to beat the South-East Asian Dragons in the grand final.
