John from velvetpedals.com sent me this overdrive this week, and it is a very very cool pedal. It is rather unique, in a way that it feels so alive, and that it sounds like a cranked tube amp. Yes, I will make a comparison video between the umble and katana. The umble is definitely more aggressive than the katana, so it does the blues/rock thing very well, while the katana is more suitable for blues/fusion. Both pedals can be very smooth if set right, and the Umble has a huge amount of gain on tap. I do prefer it as a low to mid gain pedal. I tried to be thorough without going on for too long in video length, so feel free to ask questions in the comments if you got them.

The guitar I am using is a Fender Strat, with dimarzio area 61's in the neck and middle, and dimarzio chopper in the bridge. I tried to get as neutral as a tone as possible.
