Doug Engelbart was a great man and a close friend. What he could have accomplished we don't know-- he was shot down politically, indeed stabbed by some who are now here to pay him tribute.
Doug's vision was boundless and he was full of love. After the Great Demo of December 1968, everything collapsed, and the rest of his life was wasted. The Shakespeare quote at the end is particularly apt.
