Yes god of love, follow me or burn forever! Think about it. It would be like getting a spouse by holding a gun to their head and say marry me or I kill you. Also after you marry me you better act the way I state in my book. You then make a book of rules the way the person is supposed to act in your marriage. Plus you give them no input, on how they want to live. If they don't live the way in your book, you punish them and if they get bad enough you shoot them in the head anyways. Sounds so loving so sweet. Wow!! OK, Jesus dying on the cross why is that so special. Lots of people have died for other people. Lots of people are dying everyday. He was on the cross for a few hours then died. Yes, awful way to die. Lots of people have died in just as bad and worse. But according to christians he is god. He didn't even stay dead. If he was god he could have switched off his pain, sent his consciences else where. If he's all powerful what does he have to lose? Honestly what was his loss? According to christians he is eternal, had 30 odd years of his life living the kind of life he gave us here on earth. You say that is so humbling and so horrible. Such a loving so called god. If he's eternal he gave up a tiny spec of his life for us. Such a sacrifice.
