Clam Bellies Sea Clam Bellies for Striper and Scup Fishing RI Striped Bass and Scup fishermen use bellies for bait from bridges, boat and shore.
Ocean State Tackle has plenty of clam bellies in stock. RI's Bait and Tackle Shop we are open from 5am - 9pm Daily
In Barrington and Warren RI saltwater anglers use clam bellies when fishing for striped bass at the East Bay Bike Path bridges where they spam the Barrington and Warren Rivers. Boat fishermen use bellies to catch porgies aka scup under the Mount Hope Bridge. Clam bellies are taken by almost all species of saltwater fish. The only drawbacks to fishing with clam bellies is that they are difficult to keep on a hook, Oh and that they stink. These stinky bellies can be kept on the hook with gauze, cheesecloth or dental floss, the use of a baitholder hook helps too.
