Calum Mallace scored in the 37th minute and Simone Bracallelo added the game winning goal in the 62nd minute to lead Minnesota United FC (3-2-3, 11pts) to a 2-1 victory over FC Edmonton (1-5-2, 8pts) Sunday afternoon at Clarke Stadium in Edmonton, Alberta. Daryl Fordyce scored during second half stoppage time for FC Edmonton while Matt VanOekel played strongly in net in the victory for United. The win moved the club into a tie for 3rd with 11 points in the Fall NASL standings. The New York Cosmos (4-3-1, 15pts) currently lead the NASL, one point ahead of the Tampa Bay Rowdies (3-5-0, 14pts) and four points ahead of United, Carolina RailHawks (3-2-3, 11pts) and Fort Lauderdale Strikers (3-2-3, 11pts).
