On the heels of tradition, I set forth to provide something special for anyone who, like me, fell in love with Virgin America. Inspired by Sir Richard Branson and the incredible Virgin brand, I wanted to capture a part of the experience so that years from now, we can look back fondly at what was. I also wanted to blend the dream of flying we all share as children with the dance of the airline industry, along with the artistry that Virgin America has brought to many cities throughout its 10-year history as the #1 airline in the US! As we embrace Alaska's expansion within the lower 48, let’s stay focused on our commitment that empowers us and lifts us all: Elevate People, Be Virgin & Create Wow.

Dozens of favors, countless flights and a shared love of Virgin America made this possible! I hope you enjoy for years to come! - Chris Ian Garlington (Creative Director @WEHOstudio) has worked for Virgin America at LAX for the past 5 years.

Featured Aircraft Sky Surfer, Let there be Flight, Unicorn Chaser, Jefferson Airplane, Rabid Badger, air Colbert, San Francisco Pride, Flights with Benefits, Moodlights Camera Action, Fog Cutter, My other ride is a Spaceship, #nerdbird, Tubular Belle, Jersey Girl and more!

Fun Facts
The audio from the beginning of the video says, “Redwood 797...” I chose a flight from LAX to SEA in subtle recognition of the extraordinary merger with Seattle-based Alaska Airlines, currently in progress!

Philip “Spee-D” Albuquerque, performing acrobatics and parkour in the Nevada desert, is a performer with Cirque du Soleil’s ‘Ka’ at MGM Grand. Liam Ocean, the phenomenal fire hoop dancer, performs regularly in San Francisco. Dancer duo Dayna and Devyn are mother and daughter and the ballet dancer, Pasha, has been professionally dancing since age 10. The featured yogis are the owners of ZenCasa, a wellness center in West Hollywood.

The video in the bottom corner shows the initial approach into SFO from the south and ends as the aircraft crosses the San Mateo bridge on final approach to land at SFO.

Two of the featured pilots include Linda, a Captain since 2008 as she stands by her plane with pride, something all pilots can relate to. Prior to joining Virgin America, she served 21 years as Military Police. Also featured is First Officer Steve, who joined Virgin America in 2016. Prior to that, he was with the Highway Patrol in Arizona. Overall, he has been flying for 18 years, since the age of 12!

Did you spot flight attendant Mikey – he’s a viral sensation for his incredible live performances of the safety video! He is also an ISU International Champion for USA Figure Skating!

Did you spot the Rabid Badger? The plane name refers to a joke that many teammates would make at the gate: "Once the aircraft parks at the gate a rabid badger will be released at the rear of the aircraft to encourage people to exit quickly."

The video clip showing Richard Branson “sleeping” on the plane while his hair is blowing in the wind is from one of many April Fools videos that Virgin America released over the years, fooling guests and sometimes even its own employees! That video was a prank with Nest Thermostats for personal temperature control devices at every seat!

Did you spot Green Man (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia)? He appeared in the initial promo video announcing service to Philadelphia (2012-2014). After a brief hiatus, service is being restored in September! Virgin America was also integral in promoting Real Steel and Entourage and has an aircraft named for Steven Colbert. See if you can spot it!
