On leap day this year, Microsoft released the Windows 8 Consumer Preview. I had a chance to sit down and review it again, this time it's a more finalized version. Metro is Window's big push this release of Windows. They seem to be pushing the desktop section to the back burner, so to speak, and making users use the Metro Interface.

Overall, I've had fun playing with the Windows 8 Consumer Preview and enjoyed it. Metro has a long way to go in the desktop era, and they need to weary of desktop users and using gesture controls.

Expect Windows 8 to be fully released around this summer of 2012.

explain why. give detail info pls. FYI, there is NOTHING wrong with win 8. It is AWESOME and very fast and easy. You just hv to learn some cool tricks on it. It offers 100x more than any OS out there. once you customize few things & get to know win8 short cuts & tricks, you can do EVERYTHING with "1" click. you can NOT get any faster than "1" click. shot down=1 click apps= 1 click computer, control panel, task manager, run,.........= 1 click Win8 is AWESOME and FAST. I hate Windows 7/8. I will stay with Windows 95/98/XP as long as I can! And when XP is not supported anymore I will switch to Linux/Mac or Ubuntu!
