Based on the stories and situations developed in the two first workshops and from the concept of minority versus majority and the idea of multilinguism, two authors, one Luxemburgish, Ian de Toffoli, and one Catalan, Elies Barberà, write a play called “99%”. Six actors will perform in this play directed by Anne Simon: Claire Thill from ILL and the members of Enjòlit. Rehearsals started in September 2014 in Barcelona at Teatre Akadèmia where the play was shown for the first time in previews from September 29th to October 1st. The official opening takes place at Théâtre municipal d’Esch-sur-Alzette on January 21th 2015. After another performance in Esch and two more at Théâtre National du Luxembourg, the show will go on an international tour to Spain and Italy.

99% is part of "Playing a Part", an exciting new interdisciplinary collaboration of three young European theatre collectives and companies: Teatre de L'Enjolit (Barcelona), Teatro Excelsior (Tuscany) and Independent Little Lies (Luxembourg). Realized thanks to the European program Grundtvig, Playing a Part combines life long learning with theatre in a playful way while exploring issues of multilingualism and minorities. This project has two parts, one purely artistic – the creation of a new theatre play – and the other artistic, educational and social, namely a series of workshops. The project takes places in the three partner countries over a period of two years (2014 and 2015).
