This item will have City-wide ramifications and neither you nor your colleagues had a chance to hear public opinion on this especially in light of any changes made to the plan.

At a time in which all Citizens of Los Angeles are under financial pressure of increasing water and power rates and as the City struggles with a crumbling infrastructure, this plan will put a further strain on all taxpayers by further burdening them with increased water demands (by allowing increased density) and further burdening the infrastructure (roads, sewer, power, etc).

All Angelenos will pay the price for that. How can the City Council ask all Angelenos to curtail their water usage while at the same time allow land use that dramatically increases the use of water, putting the City of Los Angeles at risk.

It is in the best interest of the City to have entire City Council hear all sides of this issue before making such a major commitment on future generations.
