We're getting closer to the reveal of the new Harry Osborn and we'll tell you which young actors are in the final four. The web of new players for the Amazing Spider-Man 2 is almost complete as The Hollywood Reporter claims at least four, athletic looking young men are currently testing for the role of Peter Parker's best frenemy...Harry Osborn.

Snow White and the Huntsman star Sam Claflin is one of the chosen four testing for the part, who will also portray Finnick in the Hunger Games Catching Fire this time next year. Also vying for the Harry Osborn role is Claflin's fellow British thespian Eddie Redmayne who we'll see as Marius in Les Miserables this Christmas. Another candidate is Douglas Booth who's currently collaborating with Black Swan director Darren Aronofsky for Noah. And finally, rounding out the Harry Osborn casting quartet is American actor Boyd Holbrook...who starred in TV's The Big C, Hafields and McCoys and the upcoming young adult novel adaptation The host.

Now last week we reported that actors Dane Dehan, Alden Ehrenreich and Brady Corbet were the frontrunners for the role of Norman Osborn's son but apparently Webb and Sony have changed their tune. Now the filmmakers are prioritizing a chiseled physique and boyish good looks as the top criteria for their new Harry Osborn.

Whomever they cast will unavoidably be compared to Hollywood's original Harry Osborn James Franco, who added a dark, brooding filter to the role of Norman Osborn's heir. So Marc Webb may be taking a new spin on Harry to further differentiate his franchise from Sam Raimi's spidey-series.

The lucky young chap selected to play harry will join an all-star cast that includes Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Shailene Woodley and possibly Jamie Foxx, when the amazing spider man two swings into theatres on May 2nd, 2014.
