This video shows users of any version of Adobe Photoshop CS6 how to access the Middle Eastern type engine, allowing them to use the features which support Arabic and Hebrew.

InDesign and Illustrator use a different method to support MENA languages; please contact those teams for further information. Sorry. 8-(

A common complaint is that the MENA version is slower or crashes. The text engine is actually doing WAY more work, so, yes, it is a little bit slower. With regard to crashes, however, Arabic, Hebrew, and Indic fonts tend to be WAY more problematic than other ones. My experience has been the vast majority of text related crashes are actually the fault of a wayward or hacked font. You can find more details on troubleshooting fonts in Photoshop at http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/t...

If you need more help, message me at http://feedback.photoshop.com/photosh... ; I'm happy to help and read all the type-related posts regularly.

I would love to hear your suggestions and help you make the most of Arabic and Hebrew support in our app. Please, don't hesitate to share...! 8-)

Enjoy!
David
