Hidden in this video is a clip of the dominant female (I assume) rushing out of, and back into, the sett holding a mewing cub in her jaws, which must be, at most, a week or two old, while two other badgers look on. The other clips are there to provide context; perhaps you can work out what is happening better than I can. Obviously there is some aggro going on but whether it is just the female against the male or between two males I have not quite worked out. I think the latter at the moment. A badger cub appearing above ground at this date is very unusual but I am sure that mothers must occasionally transport them in this way when there has been an upset. There is plenty of contented behaviour going on as well in these clips which is all the more puzzling really.
