This is a short clip of our tank. It is a 130 gallon tank, houses a variety of African Cichlids, Synodontis catfish, a Tiger datnoid, Pictus catfish, Convict Cichlid, several Mono's, two painted turtles, and some Crayfish. The tank has a 55 gallon sump fil.tration system as well as two Emporer 400 bio-wheel filters. The sump system alone processes around 30 gallons per minute through several chambers of mechanical and biological filtration with dual pumps and ultraviolet sterilizers. The extensive filtration is to keep the wastes from the turtles in check as they produce a large bio-load. This set up has worked really well and the residents have plenty of hiding places among the rocks. I was skeptical about the turtles at first but it has worked out great. I may eventually have to separate them once they grow larger but for now they are quite happy in this tank and the fish don't seem to mind.
