Thiamine (vitamin B1) is an important constituent of thiamine pyrophosphate (TPP), a cofactor found in several important dehydrogenase reactions. Notably, it is found in pyruvate dehydrogenase, alpha ketoglutarate dehydrogenase, and branched chain ketoacid dehydrogenase. And don't forget about the transketolase enzyme!

Learn about Thiamine (Vitamin B1) and other biochemistry topics with Pixorize's high-yield visual mnemonics. Part of our Vitamins playlist for undergraduate biochemistry courses and the USMLE Step 1 exam.
