Blake from SI Screens trains the Projector People team on Black Diamond screen material. Note the demonstration of the Black Diamond screen material versus standard white material at approximately (2:05) of the video. You can see light that was reflecting off of the white screen onto the ceiling completely disappear. Unfortunately our room is not as dark as it could be because we have a light coming in from under the door. Then note the impressive image with the lights on at (2:50). This image looks a bit better in person, but you still get a sense of how well the Black Diamond screens maintain brightness and contrast with the lights on. The image is comparable to a plasma or LCD TV. Blake compares the Black Diamond image to an $80,000 image just a few years ago.

[ Equipment Used : SI Screens Reference 92-inch Fixed Frame Screen with Black Diamond 1.4 material. Panasonic PT-AE3000U home projector with 1600 lumens of brightness, and 60,000:1 contrast ratio. ]
