I think it only fair I tell you a very dear friend Melissa Livingston started Goodie Tins with a very dear gal pal of hers Zabrina Ogunlana. Working moms Melissa and Zabrina started Goodie Tins as a creative outlet that they hope will eventually allow them to spend more time at home with their children. And while I absolutely adore Melissa - I may just adore their product a little more ;)

In all seriousness though - how many times have you received an invite for a bridal shower, birthday party, or just want to grab the girls together for a fun night in and are looking for something unique to bring? Or want to give a more personal hostess gift for all of those holiday parties fast approaching?

Goodie Tins to the rescue!

Goodie Tins has 12 different customized 5-gallon tins with goodies inside for any occasion you could possibly think of. They offer customized goodie tins for "traditional" events like baby showers with personalized adorable little onesies and swaddle blankets as well as tins for pets, and even spa and beauty tins for girlfriend get-togethers. In addition, Goodie Tins creates personalized corporate gifting tins filled with candy, nuts, organic coffee and tea, chocolate and an assortment of flowers.

Melissa and Zarina were kind enough to send me a Goodie Tin to sample.

I had no idea which tin they were sending me.

I was so excited (and the envy of the Jane office) when -- via UPS -- I received the "Colors in Bloom" tin with beautiful fresh hydrangeas gently packed inside. They were housed in a large box with wrapping over the flowers and had an ice pack in the tin to keep the flowers cool for their overnight journey. Each flower stem was also individually and securely wrapped in small plastic bags with water to guarantee freshness upon delivery.
