What's even funnier, and I wish I hadn't cut it off at the beginning, is when Serena says, "It's so corny I could die!" That was an ad-lib by Elizabeth Montgomery, which sounds like she agreed with you:)

How I recall first seeing this episode in the Springtime of '75.Also to see now among 7 roles that Steve Franken was in like the one as a The Warlock Juke,The mortal Bank Executive in the Gazebo episode, and the one as Samantha's Cousin Henry who like Uncle Arthur is a practical joker. Also The Alien Ship episode as an alien.
Steve Franken also played Samantha's cousin Henry who did the transcendental triple, and Warlock Juke who had an overbearing mother who was in love with samantha.
The only woman that comes close is Suzanne Pleshette from the Bob Newhart Show....

Is there any guy who didn't have a crush on Elizabeth Montgomery? She was the most beautiful, elegant classy lady there ever was by a mile.
RIP! A veteran TV actor who played an iconic character on the early 1960s comedy series “The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis” has died, TheWrap.com reports. Steve Franken, best known for playing the dilettante Chatsworth Osborne Jr., was 80. [from tv week dot com]
There's something about that cheesy looking monster that just makes me laugh.
