Woow! It has been quite a while since we gave you an update on our day-to-day diet we enjoy as a raw food family with 4 kids. As we always want to inspire you health conscious families with children to eat more healthy raw food, we want to share with you how we do it. However, it is important to us that you understand that we are NOT telling you what you should do. We also are no certified nutritionists. All we want to do is share how we do it!!
And as we are livivng a raw food lifestyle as a family for more than 8 years as of now, you also must understand that our diet must be different from somebody who is just starting with this.
We feel that we have purified our diet again, after being in a tropical climate for 2.5 years now. The sun, the fully ripe tropical fruits all year round, the coconut and the war south-pacific ocean all year round has really helped to increase our health level to a new all-time-high.
It also has helped to simplify our diet. We sometimes do have mono meals eventhough we also still do like the raw gourmet kitchen. We still have also incoperated some cooked foods like quinoa, brown rice and buckwheat noodles into our diet. But we always have a huge salad and raw sauces/dressing with it.
In case you want to go (high) raw with your kids as well, we highly recommend our book "Raising Raw Children" We are currently doing the last work to publish the 2nd edition, where we applied a lot of updates and some changes after being on this diet for 3 more years. The first edition of our book was published in autumn 2009, and we are happy to release the new book in early summer 2012.
