A beginning to end playthrough of Sofel's 1990 NES game, Wall Street Kid.
Novel in only the way that Sofel ever managed to pull off on the NES, Wall Street Kid, like Casino Kid before it, mixes RPG elements into another game that would otherwise be an GUI on a Lotus 1-2-3 spreadsheet. The story is excellently distracting and corny, the graphics are minimal but appropriate, and the music is... tiring. The title screen theme song is amazing, so I can't imagine why it couldn't have been used instead of the that dull tune played over and over through 99% of the game. Oh well. The game is totally unique, simple enough to understand within five minutes, and really engaging and fun.
