This 1955 Ford Country Sedan Wagon is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. In 1955 station wagons were, for the first time, included in their own series. The country sedan was the intermediate level wagon. The 1955 Fords were totally redesigned from the 1954 version. This beautiful two tone Robin’s Egg Blue and Cream Country Sedan Wagon is a way cool car with a few modern touches. The subtle exterior doesn’t really give anything away. The original Ford engine has been replaced with a Chevrolet 350 CID small block. The engine has been mated to a 350 Turbo Hydramatic, and allows for hours upon hours of dependable highway driving. To give a still stock appearance, the Ford Oil Bath breather has been placed on top of the engine. To make sure this old wagon stops easily, a set of power brakes, with front discs, have been added. A towing package has been added which includes a Reese hitch and it is set up to handle electric trailer brakes. Inside, the interior looks almost stock with the exception of a modern stereo hidden under the steel dash. A Vintage Air AC system has also been added to insure the occupants stay nice and cool on those long cross country drives. Options on this 1955 Ford Country Sedan Wagon include; AC, AM/FM/CD player, matching two tone vinyl interior, Power Steering, and Steel Wheels with Hub Caps wrapped in Radial Tires.
