Oil paintings of Biljana Djurdjevic always cause a variety of sensory sensations and reactions. Leaving the interior box, that she was faithful in last fifteen years, Biljana presents her work with the new cycle of 4 large-format paintings that stage framework of the forest. In thematic terms, Biljana remains consistent within the study of human character and customs, which are wrapped by dreams and taboos. Dramatic narrative realism is still present in the treatment of human figures. The background of image, with its floral motifs, emphasized the brutal elements of reality.
Biljana Djurdjevic (1973) obtained her MA from the Faculty of Fine Arts (Painting Department) in Belgrade. Since 2009th she teaches at the same University. He has exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions at home and abroad.
