Here's a recap of Epicurrence No.4, the non-conference for designers and developers, in Moab, UT October 17-21, 2016.
For one week, 58 new friends broke free of comfort zones while living together in tents and tipis in the middle of the desert. We discussed the real stuff — hard stuff. We tried new adventure after new adventure until we wore and then quickly repeated. We laughed and cried. We supported and related, Simply put, we had one epic of a week together.
Epicurrence, coming from the joining of the words "epic" and "occurrence" was always intended to be a bit different. October 17-21 in 2016, 58 creatives spent a full week in Moab, UT having intimate discussions and adventures together while exploring Arches National Park and Canyonlands. Whether hiking, rock climbing, riding dirt bikes, or mountain biking — there were activities all day long for everyone. The best part of all, we had the entire Moab Under Canvas to ourselves. It was a truly unique experience you'll only find in the organic aisle of conferences. At an event like Epicurrence, the focus is on the attendees and their relationships. Join us next time! It'll be EPIC.
Special thank you to Underbelly Creative, InVision, Woolrich, Unsplash, Biolite, Swipies, Aviator Nation, and Patagonia for the support.
Also huge thanks to chef Jason Simon, dirt bike teacher Craig Hobson, rock climbing guide Eric Odenthal, photographer Greyson MacAlpine, videographer Jeremiah Warren, and the Moab Under Canvas staff.
