UPDATE, Im In! Ive gotten invited to compete in the Southwest Regionals on March 3, 2012.

***READ BEFORE YOU COMMENT***

Hello, this is my ANW submission video, its basically a compilation of the training i did for six months for ANW, hope you like it!

Im from Hercules, CA, but I live in L.A. now. Im an actor and a martial artist, I have been doing the Filipino martial arts of Modern Arnis and Sikaran Arnis for about 15+ years. I also have a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice from San Francisco State University and Associates in Acting from AADA West.

I train by myself, and its usually hard to find friends willing to do the exercises I do. So i found it really hard to tape myself or get friends to record me for material for a decent reel, so, sorry for the poor quality and some bad angles.

I trained for muscular endurance and cardiovascular endurance with bodyweight exercises and plyometrics, the Filipino martial arts you see up there is just a filler (and yes for extra ninja points) because i only found out the submission deadline 4 days before, and I must admit I stopped training SPECIFICALLY for SSK 2 months ago because ive heard the news that the company that own Sasuke went bankrupt and that they were not going to bring SSK back in 2012, i still trained in bodyweight strength though. So to my amazement and joy i found out 4 days before the deadline (through LA Casting, of all avenues, go figure) that they were going to bring it back, and frankly I didnt really have enough material filmed.

I didnt train to do flips, aerials, or other stunts, because there are no events that require you to do that in SSK. I did train in basic Parkour at Tempest in Chatsworth, CA, you guys you should check them out. http://www.tempestfreerunning.com/

I trained a LOT on upper body strength on the hanging bar and jumping skills through plyometrics, because a lot of SSK's obstacle courses consist of that. I must have done over 1,000 muscle ups in a 6 month period, with about at least 50 total muscle ups a week and probably over 2,000 pull ups in a 6 month period as well, about 100 total pullups a week. Along with that, I usually hike up Runyon Canyon and Griffith Park at least twice a week.

So this video is the best I could do with the material i filmed, and if it doesnt make the cut with G4 TV, be sure to see me lining up on Tryout Day as Prince Zuko!!

Good luck ninjas!

PS: If you are in the LA area and wanna train for ANW, let me know! Im down!
