The multi-talented Ata Damasco sings lead vocals, plays `ukulele, guitars, accordion and upright bass on this traditional song. The sweetness of this melody belies its dark origins. The haole foreman (luna) on his white horse could be brutal to the immigrant laborers on the sugar plantation to keep them hard at work in the cane fields.
