Be beautiful. Have substance. Pole Academy Philippines aims to disassociate pole dancing from stripping through the dance classes we offer and perform. Another way is through guerrilla street pole.

Guerilla street pole dancing is much like Parkour which is a physical training of the body and mind through obstacles in your environment BUT the vocabulary of guerilla street pole dancing originates from strip clubs.

Pole dancing requires strength, coordination and flexibility which we train for in our studios. When we go out into the streets, we not only challenge ourselves in the context of our environment, but challenge the public's perception of pole dancing. And it's also a chance to have a lot of fun showing off skills - without being raunchy!

Last August 22, 2011, GMA 7's "Aha!" crew followed us around the streets of Makati to cover some guerilla pole dancing in the Pole Academy Philippines style. True to our vision, we didn't just do tricks, WE DANCED!

We drew crowds, were reprimanded by Makati security in one area, were photographed and applauded, were frowned upon by some. People talked about pole dancing and that's the awesome part.
