Still, there unbound to time
Alone in its stillness

Still, there
There, still
No current, no wind

The stillness of a road re-routed
Unmapped place, unmapped place

Dust of a people
Bones of a city
A testament

Boxes that were never sent
Or never wrapped and posted
Or packed up at all

Stillness perfected
Atoms at rest
An impossibility

For a moment, forgetting

Still, there unbound to time
Terror and wisdom
A glass pane shattering
The shards in your hands

An offering
One kiss lain on the head
Consolation, consolation

Off time, a break for rest

Stillness of a room of toys
Piled high, left behind

Stillness as a waiting for something

A photograph pressed flat
Held by an unmoving power

Stillness undisturbed unasleep
Nearly gone
Still, immovable
So much cannot be spoken
Yet, still
Still, there unbound to time
