"On Thursday June 7th 2012, Ron Paul spoke to a massive group of thousands of supporters at the Texas GOP Convention in Fort Worth during a scheduled "break out session."

Paul was asked by the Republican Party of Texas to address the group on the topics of "party unity" and balancing the budget. He acknowledged the difficulties of accomplishing such a task, joking that he only first started working on it 39 years ago.

In his speech, Paul challenges the idea of party unity, arguing that "sure, we want to be united, but we have to unite around the right principles," otherwise, "What good is it." In case anyone was wondering what those "right principles" are exactly, Paul reminds them, they're found in The Constitution."
