My name is Koky Saly,
and I'm the founder of BabyTree Projects.
Not long ago I was close to leaving this world.
I was right on the edge.
This is the story of why I remained.
Because sometimes, to keep your promises,
you have to share your pain.
Sometimes the only way to make things right,
is to leave.
Sometimes to conquer your fears,
you have to embrace them.
Sometimes the best way to move someone into action,
is to hold them.
Sometimes you have to reach out,
in order to receive help.
Sometimes it takes children,
to show you the meaning of life.
Sometimes to build a school,
you need to have faith in humanity.
Sometimes you need to learn how to fly,
to feel the Earth beneath your feet.
Sometimes you have to leave your comfort zone,
to know what's comfortable.
Sometimes you have to go to the end of the world,
to find where the stars meet the seas.
Sometimes the only way to move forward,
is to stand still.
My next project, my next promise,
Boy & Bee is coming.
There are too many people for me to thank,
but you know who you are.
From my heart to yours,
I thank you.
- Koky

My infinite love to Sophia Saly.
Sometimes, when I close my eyes,
I feel you, by my side.

Where ever you may be,
Hold me close.

This project has been dedicated to Sophia,
So we can remember
her light, and the courageous spirit in which
she used,
to fight her battles.

Sophia Saly (13/7/83 - 15/8/12)
