Beneath the Tulare Lake Basin

Hydrology professor Thomas Harter uses 3-D virtual-reality technology at UC Davis' KeckCAVES to examine the water supply system of the Tulare Lake Basin. He is shown "inside" the aquifer, where thousands of public water supply and irrigation wells are shown in red, penetrating the groundwater system like straws in a water glass.
