On 30th January 1969 The Beatles played live for the last time with an impromptu lunchtime concert on the roof of their Savile Row Apple studios in London. However it was cut short by the police who objected to the noise. 50 years ago on 5th October, 1962 The Beatles released their first single in the UK 'Love Me do'. Bob Peters a local musician decided to re-create the rooftop gig at a secret location in Bedford to commemorate the 50th anniversary in style of arguably the greatest band of all time... He brought together some of Bedford's most talented musicians to join him. It all happened on a sunny but chilly Sunday morning at a location that remained secret until an hour before the performance. Featuring: Bob Peters - Keyboard Martin Cook - Vocals/Bass Steve Woodward - Guitar Neil Cook - Drums/Vocals Mat Roberts - Guitar Songs: Get Back Don't Let Me Down I've Got a Feeling One After 909 Dig A Pony Get Back (reprise) Filmed by Sally Newhouse (punkrocksal) and Keith Newhouse (www.photoplatform.co.uk) Assisted by Kim Yarger & Sue Woodward.
