How do you treat hemorrhoids while pregnant.

Haemorrhoids are bloated and reddened veins in the rectum and around the anus. There are two types in it namely internal and external. Internal haemorrhoids developed inside the rectum usually painless. But some pressure is felt inside. But external haemorrhoids which appear as small bumps can give severe pain with itchy feeling. Symptoms of haemorrhoids are bleeding in the rectum, pressure with burning pain, anal bumps, and thick red blood during toilet.

Your main concern is to know what causes haemorrhoids and how to stop bleeding haemorrhoids during pregnancy. Basically, it is due to the increased volume of blood in the uterus. This in turn causes more pressure to the veins running through the anus leading to swelling. Another factor of haemorrhoids during pregnancy is the slowing down of bowels and resultant constipation.

The third enemy to cause haemorrhoids is the prenatal vitamins containing synthetic iron. Constipation is much more with this synthetic iron with strains. It is important that this problem is felt mostly during third trimester. During labour, the straining to push the baby out results in bowel movement and bumps.

Usually you cannot think of to get rid of haemorrhoids while pregnant . However, haemorrhoids can recede after giving birth to baby but only to some extent. It may take a little time to cure haemorrhoids completely. Though you may have some option to treat treat haemorrhoids naturally but it requires a little patience. You can try to minimise the symptoms by keeping clean the rectal area by washing well after bowel movement every time. You may have warm bath and better to avoid long time sitting.
