This video shows me basting, and beginning to quilt Heather Wall's (@heathersnacks) Kite Flight quilt. We settled on the Rainbow Clams design, which is a variation on the Rainbow Hearts pattern. This quilt was challenging due to all the bias pieces. You see me spending a lot of time at the sides of the quilt, and I even pull out my pins, which I normally don't do when basting a quilt. I strive to always have the quilts in my studio be as square as possible, and this is just what it took to make that happen on this quilt. Questions? Ask below, I love to help others understand the process.
Supplies/Tools: Gammill Statler Stitcher 30", pearl head (crossage) pins, Red Snappers, Red-E-Edge 19"
Rainbow Clams is my own alteration of the Rainbow Hearts design by Keryn Emmerson. Rainbow Hearts can be found at Digi-Tech and I did talk to Keryn about offering the heartless version, so i'm sure that will be offered at some point.
