Apple Macbook Pro 17" GPU Problem

Just picked up my Macbook Pro 17" early 2011 from the Apple shop. After paying almost €500 they had replaced the motherboard; this was necessary because I could no longer practically use my 27". It crashed several times a day with the famous pixelation, moved screen, and stripes when rebooting.

At home I tested the new motherboard with Unigine Heaven benchmark which looks like this video. My old motherboard actually had no problem with this test ...

After almost 30 years of Apple use I feel I still pay the premium but not so much the associated quality :-(
