Take a look at these two transects in the same area at Arrival Heights, taken in 2011 and 2009. (I used the exact same SONY Z1U camera for both transects) They are at about the same time of the season. Note how much worse our visibility is this season. The water column seems almost milky or chaulky. Compare the growth on the bottom and see what's happened to the big volcano sponges in two years time. This is just an informal transect that I made for curiosity's sake today. Near the end you can see a comparison between the images captured by my SONY Z1U and the GOPRO that Steve is using. -HK
