Shinzen shares his regard for the Buddha as the Issac Newton of spirituality. He talks about the Buddha's "untangle and be free", or "divide and conquer" strategies, and shares how his own generalizing of this approach has been reworked in a contemporary way through working with the 12 sensory states (and 6 sensory spaces) and the untangling of other components. After productive kinds of discriminations are made, further investigation reveals that all sensory experiences are made out of the same doing - a vibrant vacuity that flows and unifies. Filmed in Nov. 2009 at Mt. Carmel Spiritual Centre in Niagara Falls.
