Full details at http://chrissansom.net/works/imaginar..., but in the meantime...

Written in 1976 and never performed, this was my attempt to do what I thought at the time others had failed to do - satisfactorily combine jazz/rock and orchestral music. My motto for the piece was "The band's part of the orchestra and the orchestra's part of the band".

Please excuse my 'solos' - I had to put something there, but real jazzers (which I'm not) would of course do something much better.

Recorded using MOTU Digital Performer with instruments from EastWest (Hollywood Orchestral Woodwinds), Sample Modeling (orchestral brass and the trombone and saxes in the sextet), Spitfire Audio (all the strings), MusicLab RealStrat and Native Instruments (Battery and various sundry instruments to be found in the Komplete package). Live performance sought!
