The Guernsey Sports Commission as part of their Quids in Programme offer 8-16yr olds the chance to try out a range of sports and activities for £1 per session.
This February half term offered 8-11yr olds the chance to try a a multisports session which allowed them to try a range of tag games, team building activities and sports. Whilst 11-16yr olds were given the chance to try football, Handball, Tag Rugby & Hockey.
This review video highlights the activities offered within one multisports session, held at Beau Sejour Leisure Centre from 8.45am-12.00pm.
The Quids in Programme runs in the school holidays and the next time it will be run will be in the Easter Holidays (2nd-13th April) and the application forms will be available from our website http://www.guernseysports.com on the 12th March as well as being available at various public locations around the island. The last 3 Quids in programmes have been supported by Condor Ferries which has allowed us to provide the activities to the children for £1 a go, which is affordable for everyone.
