Music is 'The Fool' from In The Aeroplane Over The Sea

You can fly across the entire desert with the help of your playmate. Since the chirps recharge the scarf, and a half-held chirp has a wide radius, two players can fly indefinitely by keeping close to each other while chirping and holding down the X button. So please, all of you who I keep meeting, stop running around when I'm trying to get you to cooperate.

Journey might seem like Shadow of the Colossus from a certain aesthetic standpoint (cloth in the wind, a desert, large landscapes), but it has little else in common. The environment in Journey facilitates emotion much more than storytelling or atmosphere. The gameplay is the story. Areas are backdrops to the drama. This is in line with the design philosophy of every previous game by Jenova Chen, from Cloud to Flower. It is linear, but allows for diversity and refinement in play style.
