The second frog hops away and there is a flood of so many emotions, thoughts, ideas and wounded feelings of betrayal. It's SO hard to say good-bye that it seems easier to not want to be friends with that mean old frog. Jiminy! How unreasonable is it for a 2½ year old to ask to hold two frogs at the same time?!? That's only one for each hand! And then... The tantrum is done. Time to play.
Since that day, we have found many more frogs of varying shapes, textures, colors and sizes. Cooper still has yet to hold two frogs at once, but it doesn't seem as important as being able to hold on to a frog on a whim (and how cool is it to be able to bring a fat bumpy froggy into the bathroom with you?).
