As of 10/12/09 there have been 22,849 views of the Carlin video I personally worked on and edited. (The files are still somewhere on one of my HDDS. O_o ) This video has had only 2 viewer complaints for having edited out the cussing, cursing, foul language, etcetera. I appreciate individuals like this as I have several of Mr. Carlin's compilations and enjoy them in their pure, unadulterated entirety. I grew up with George and even wore through more than a couple cassettes over the years! (Yes, I said cassettes!) Though well meaning and good intentioned at heart, these purists are just a tad more focused on the routine than just what he is actually saying in it. And what he is saying in it, with or without the language, is key to educating those who would otherwise miss the truth in WHAT he is saying. Having the audio edited so that "The Seven Words You Can't Say on Television" are removed, those people that have a problem with his colorful vernacular can now focus on hearing WHAT he's really saying, thus allowing them to join in on spreading the word. This is one of the reasons why the comments are turned off for this video. The flaming would get out of hand and the point lost. If you enjoy the video, great! Pass it on. If you prefer to hear it in it's purest form, there are SEVERAL versions of it available on the web and youtube. Either way, enjoy!
