Graduate student Shannamar Dewey describes the use of imaging in multiple steps of her work determining the factors involved in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, a leading cause of death among otherwise healthy young athletes. The ChemiDoc MP cuts imaging time in half during protein normalization and quantitation in electrophoresis gels. The speed and convenience of stain-free imaging after a 2.5-min activation allow Dewey to quickly check protein quantity and quality on a gel. The ChemiDoc MP system saves time and steps in the lab, increases productivity, and helps students graduate in less time!
